On Friday 2 February at 8 pm Catself will perform at Zaal 100 in Amsterdam (the restaurant room). The room has an acoustic piano, so apart from the songs with the western and classical guitar accompaniment expect also a few piano songs (like the hitchhiking song and the mermaids!) played this time on an acoustic instrument.

Before Catself’s concert you can enjoy a three-course organic vegan dinner (9 €). Friday will be the last day of the three-day vegan food festival. To enjoy the dinner, please arrive before 8 pm.

There are no tickets, but the event is based on cash donations. Please bring some cash with you.

Catself has recorded a new song, which is available to listen and buy on Bandcamp!

Already on the day it was recorded, The Missing Song was played in an alternative rock programme W Pół Rocku of Przemysław Bartkowski. More airplay is coming.

Catself is now on tour in the Netherlands. Since the beginning of November, she has been performing at the outlets of the fashion chain Miller & Monroe around the country. These performances have been arranged by Unplug & Play. Catself has also played at Groninger Songwriter Circle event in DOT Groningen and at the legendary ADM Amsterdam.

There will be still two Miller & Monroe shows this year – details on the Shows page. Keep an eye on this page, and on CATSELF Facebook page because more dates are being confirmed.

In January Catself will return to the Netherlands for more performances, the first one at the final concert of Groninger Songwriter Circle on January 13th.

Catself's new song is available now!

Recorded last June, the song is being released secretly from today until the next full moon.

To get the song, send an artist support donation to catselfmusic@gmail.com by PayPal and then an email to the same address with “New song #1” in the title.

The song begins a series of "Cat in the Bag" releases.

A secret to light… The video for A Shield is already on YouTube!

The video was filmed in southern Finland on a peninsula called Kopparnäs. I found this rocky beach on the day of the filming, quite by chance. The sea was still frozen everywhere else near the shore but in that place there was no ice and the waves were beating against the rocks. I had another idea for this video earlier, a little story, but when I saw the waves, I realised they were already telling the story.

Nearby that beach there are Viking graves. It was comforting to think that that place must have looked almost the same in the Viking times.
